Colocasia 'White Lava' Care Instructions
Light:
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Can tolerate some morning sun but avoid harsh afternoon rays.
Water:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Loves humidity.
Soil:
Use rich, well-draining soil with organic matter. A mix of potting soil, compost, and perlite works well.
Temperature:
Thrives in warm temperatures (18–30°C / 65–85°F). Protect from frost.
Feeding:
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–4 weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn).
Repotting & Pruning:
Repot yearly if needed. Remove any yellowing or damaged leaves.
Winter Care:
If grown outdoors in a cool climate, dig up and store tubers in a cool, dry place. Indoors, reduce watering and let it rest.
