    • Euphorbia trigona rubra, also known as the African milk tree, is a popular and easy-to-care-for succulent. Here are some detailed care instructions to help your plant thrive:

    • Sunlight: Place your Euphorbia trigona rubra in a spot where it can receive bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in the morning or late afternoon, but avoid intense midday sun which can scorch the plant.
    • Watering: Water sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Typically, this means watering every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) and less frequently during the dormant season (fall and winter).Water thoroughly until it drains out of the bottom of the pot. Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent waterlogging. Overwatering is a common issue. Euphorbia trigona is drought-tolerant and can suffer from root rot if kept too wet.

    • Type: Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix. You can also add extra perlite or sand to improve drainage.
    • Temperature: Euphorbia trigona rubra prefers warm temperatures. It thrives in temperatures between 18-27°C. Protect it from cold drafts and temperatures below 10°C.
    • Pruning: Prune to shape or control size. Use clean, sharp tools and wear gloves to protect yourself from the plant’s milky sap, which can be irritating. Remove any dead or damaged leaves to keep the plant healthy.
    • Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one with good drainage holes.
