    • Tephrocactus articulatus is a unique and visually striking cactus that makes a captivating addition to any plant collection. Known for its segmented, jointed stems that resemble stacked pinecones or paper clippings, this cactus offers an intriguing aesthetic with its odd shapes and textures. The segments are light green to grayish-green, often with a rough, bumpy surface and covered in short, sharp spines or sometimes completely spineless. Native to the arid regions of Argentina, Tephrocactus articulatus thrives in bright sunlight and well-draining soil, making it an excellent choice for succulent enthusiasts or anyone looking to add a low-maintenance yet visually dynamic plant to their indoor or outdoor garden.
    • 20-25cm in diameter.
    • 12cm pot.
    • Tephrocactus articulatus, also known as the Paper Spine Cactus, is a low-maintenance and hardy cactus. Here are some simple care instructions:

    • Light: Place your Tephrocactus articulatus in a location with bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate full sun but might need some protection during the hottest part of the day, especially in summer.

    • Watering: Water sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. During the winter months, reduce watering even further, as the cactus goes into dormancy.

    • Soil: Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix. Adding extra perlite or sand can improve drainage.

    • Temperature: This cactus prefers warm temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C). It can tolerate cooler temperatures but should be protected from frost.

    • Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted cactus fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) once a month. No need to fertilize in the winter.

    • Repotting: Repot only when necessary, usually every 2-3 years. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one, with good drainage.

    • Handling: Be careful when handling, as the spines can be sharp. Wearing gloves is recommended.
